Zoraide Disco Divas Shoes by Paola Bay

Posted on: December 5, 2011

We were thrilled to have the pleasure of meeting Paola Bay, the fabulous designer behind Zoraide, a line of luxury hand-made shoes by Italian artisans. W2WW Fashion Editor Hilary Dick interviewed Paola at the Hunt Slonem Studio in New York and got the inside scoop on her inspiration behind the new Spring/Summer 2012 Disco Divas Collection and how the Zoraide line got started. It is a truly fabulous collection so vibrant and full of joy de vivre-sexy & sophisticated as well. Aptly named Disco Divas, the collection celebrates a Studio 54 and Warhol Factory vibe. Paola gained inspiration from famous ladies of this era such as Edie Sedgwick, Donna Summer, Liza Minelli, Bianca Jagger, Diana Ross, Gia Carangi, Debbie Harry and Jerry Hall. These ladies were all famous protagonists of an amazing fun time in America and the collection is a true representation of this consisting of bright colors, high platforms, and true disco styles. As you are waiting for the launch of the Spring/Summer Collection you can shop the current Zoraide line at YOOX.com
